The NAG, Nawa Asha Griha, Home of New Hopes, is a home for street children, in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world. Many children are abandoned and life on the streets, freezing and begging for food. About 75% of the Nepali can't read or write.
Since 1993 Nicole Thakuri-Wick is doing something to combat this misery - continually and effectively, despite the civil war, which threatens and aggravates.
164 children live und sleep at the NAG at the moment, other 161 children from the slums attend the day school, which is recognised by the Nepali government.
All the children receive a daily, nourishing meal and an education for a brighter, indipendent future.
Do you want to help this splendid work go on and grow? Nicole and the children count on your donation, which can be done online following this link. The foundation Strassenkinderhilfswerk NAG is recognised by the Swiss Government (EDI) and donations are tax deductible. The whole donation will go to the NAG.
